Welcome to Quiz: Which 'I Love LA' Character Are You

About “I Love LA” in a few words:

The show is called I Love LA, a fresh 2025 comedy from HBO. It’s about a tight-knit group of friends reuniting in L.A. after time apart — they juggle ambition, relationships, fame, and all that messy, glamorous chaos that comes with city life. The main gang includes Maia (an aspiring talent manager), Tallulah (her influencer ex-friend), Alani (a “nepo baby” with connections), Charlie (a stylist trying to climb the ladder), and Dylan (Maia’s grounded boyfriend).

Meet the characters from I Love LA

Maia

Maia is like the calm eye of a wildly dramatic storm — quietly fierce and a complete softie if you look close. She’s the kind of person who makes detailed lists and then loses them (and will insist she doesn’t care, while actually caring Very Much). Creative, stubborn, forever fixing other people’s problems and secretly collecting half-started art projects in her closet. She’s endlessly loyal and protective, but also prone to overthinking into hilarious, strangely specific panic spirals at 2 a.m. Also she dances terribly on purpose and swears she hates small talk but will end up owning the whole conversation about obscure indie bands.

Tallulah

Tallulah is pure kinetic energy — loud, messy, flirty, and absolutely unfiltered. She breaks rules the second she sees them and also somehow alphabetizes her spice rack at midnight (don’t ask, it makes sense to her). Terrible at commitment? Maybe. Terrible at hiding how fiercely she cares? Definitely not — she’s the one who crashes through walls for friends. She’ll prank you, hug you, steal your hoodie, and then apologize with cookies she baked impulsively, and also has a bizarrely soft spot for corny soap operas.

Alani

Alani is the strategic heart: cool-headed, planner-level-organized, and quietly ambitious in a way that almost tricks you into underestimating her. She’ll make contingency plans for your disaster while also keeping a secret box of seashells and handwritten letters no one knows about. Practical and fair, a bit of a peacemaker, but don’t mistake her kindness for weakness — she will call you out with surgical precision. She hates dramatic displays yet writes ridiculous romantic lists in the margins of her planner.

Charlie

Charlie is the sarcastic glue, equal parts dry wit and unexpectedly warm bear-hugs. He uses jokes like armor but his loyalty is ferocious; he’s the friend who will roast you mercilessly and then show up at your 3 a.m. meltdown with pizza. Low-key a sentimental sap who probably cries during the dog rescue montage in commercials (and insists he didn’t, obviously). Loves being off-stage but once did their college theater thing and got a small, embarrassed thrill from applause. Also has an impressively curated vintage t-shirt collection and smells faintly of espresso.

Dylan

Dylan vibes like warm sand and late-night confessions — laid-back, a little flaky, and somehow impossibly charming. He shows up late to parties but somehow remembers your favorite book, your weird allergy, and that thing you haven’t told anyone. An artist-ish soul who fixes broken things (including people, sometimes to his own detriment) and writes bad but lovable poems. He claims he hates schedules but will become unnervingly punctual when something actually matters, like coffee dates or saving the day. There’s a streak of melancholy under the easy grin, which makes him way more interesting than he admits.
