Meet the characters from Superman & Lois
Clark Kent
Clark is that classic good-guy energy turned up a notch — mild-mannered reporter on the byline, planet-saving Kryptonian under the cape, and awkward dad at PTA meetings. He’s steady and moral and kind of painfully earnest, like he can’t help being the moral center even when it’s inconvenient (also, he drinks terrible diner coffee like it’s a ritual). Quiet, observant, and ridiculously strong, but also the one who forgets where he parked the truck — seriously, how? He can be stoic and brooding one minute and oddly goofy the next, which is half the charm.
Lois Lane
Lois is a tornado of curiosity and stubbornness and I mean that in the best way — relentless reporter, sharp-tongued, and fiercely protective of the people she loves. She’ll chase a lead through a hurricane and then come home to make everyone feel seen, which is such a weird and wonderful combo. Witty, fearless, and sometimes reckless (she’ll ignore her own safety because the story matters) — but also capable of soft, almost exhausted tenderness when it hits her. She collects pens, hoards facts like snacks, and somehow never runs out of comebacks.
Jonathan Kent
Jonathan is the solid rock of the family with a rake of prairie-grit and a smile that hides a thousand rules — strict when he needs to be, impossibly warm the rest of the time. Practical farmer dad energy, loves the land, teaches hard lessons with an even harder hug after, and also definitely tells awful “dad jokes” he thinks are peak comedy. He’s the moral compass for sure, but also has this secretive soft spot for cheesy sci-fi novels (don’t tell anyone). Sometimes grumpy, sometimes poetic about sunsets; comforting in a way that makes you roll your eyes and then feel better.
Jordan Kent
Jordan is the teenage coil of anger and loyalty — quick, sarcastic, fiercely private, and sometimes petty in a way that’s kind of adorable? He’s trying to figure himself out while also being responsible in his own weird way, like he cares but won’t say it outright. Has a dry sense of humor that sneaks out at the worst moments, and he’ll defend his family like a tiny, furious guardian dog. One minute he’s confrontational, the next he’s doing something unexpectedly kind (and then acting like he didn’t), which is basically peak teen energy.
Kyle Cushing
Kyle is small-town grit with a loud laugh and a short fuse — lawman/coach-ish vibes, protective of the kids and suspicious of anything that smells like trouble (which is often). He’s patriotic and blunt and has that “I’ll fix it with a wrench and a speech” mentality, but also gets flustered by emotional things which is oddly endearing. Very stubborn, likes order, but will throw his own rules out the window if someone he cares about needs help (hypocrisy? yes, a little). He collects old helmets or baseball cards or something, I’m not making that up, and he drinks coffee like it’s a personality trait.
Luthor
Luthor (yeah, the surname says it all) is cold, razor-bright, and dangerously charming — billionaire, tactician, man with a plan and a perfect smile that doesn’t reach his eyes. He’s the type to throw money at problems, then write a white paper about it while secretly plotting three steps ahead; philanthropy and manipulation are kind of his hobbies. Eerily composed one minute, pettily vindictive the next, and honestly you can’t help being fascinated by how he always seems to be playing chess while everyone else plays checkers. He collects chess sets and secrets, and sometimes (shockingly) shows a sliver of insecurity, which makes him more terrifying, not less.
Morgan Edge
Morgan Edge is glossy power-player energy — media mogul, smooth operator, always wearing the right coat and saying the right thing while quietly steering the ship toward whatever benefits him. He’s charismatic and ruthless in equal measure, loves being in control and will cozy up to anyone useful (and then dispose of them politely). There’s a theatrical flair to him — jazz in the background, a cigar he doesn’t always light, the kind of guy who enjoys his own voice on the phone. He’s got a strange soft spot for tradition sometimes, and then he’ll do something utterly cold the next day; keeps you guessing.
Sam Lane
Sam is all military precision and dry humor, the kind of general who complains about discipline but would march through fire for family — especially his daughter. Blunt, intimidating, very rule-oriented, yet he has these rare, startlingly tender moments with grandkids or in private that crack the armor. He values duty above all and is fiercely skeptical of anything that seems chaotic (which is most things), but he’ll bend the rules if it protects people he loves — annoying but admirable. He collects medals and grievances in equal measure, and he’s stubborn about both.
