Meet the characters from Z Nation

Doc

Doc is this grumpy, brilliant medic whose bedside manner is the kind that includes sarcastic comments and a huge stash of questionable snacks. He’s the kinda guy who can stitch you up, give a lecture about hygiene, and then cry about a dog — yes, he has a soft spot — but also insists he doesn’t. Hoarder of syrup? Maybe. He mutters old movie quotes and keeps a painfully honest log that nobody asked for, and somehow everything he does saves the day, even when he claims it’s accidental.

10K

10K is the quiet killer with a counting obsession — literally, he marks headshots and practices like it’s a sport; he calls it therapy but then denies it when you look. Stoic, nerdy, reliable; also surprisingly sentimental (keeps a mixtape? probably) and has rules about food that make no sense. He’s the moral compass… sometimes — swings between ruthless efficiency and puppy-level loyalty. Oh and he definitely hums like a weird country song while reloading; I swear he does.

Murphy

Murphy is the walking contradiction: human, infected, kinda villain, kinda misunderstood, and absolutely smug about it. He loves being the center of chaos, but will protect his weird family in ways he won’t say out loud. Gross sense of humor, borderline adorable when confused, and terrifying when focused — also keeps a tiny collection of sentimental trinkets that he pretends he hates. Zero patience for rules unless it’s his rules; also wears the occasional suit because of reasons.

Lt. Roberta Warren

Lt. Roberta Warren is the no-nonsense leader who can plan an ambush before breakfast and bake a mean casserole afterwards (actual casserole lore, maybe). She’s tough, principled, and carries the emotional weight of everyone like it’s a tactical map, which is both heroic and exhausting to watch. She has a strict ‘no nonsense’ policy but cries at bad rom-coms and has this weird compulsion for alphabetizing gear. The backbone of the crew — also prone to very dry one-liners that destroy morale (in a good way).

Addison ‘Addy’ Carver

Addison ‘Addy’ Carver is fierce, stubborn, and still figuring out how to be brave without being reckless — also cries in the shower sometimes, very normal. She can flip from ‘kick-down-the-door’ to ‘comforting hand on your shoulder’ in two seconds, which is confusing but awesome. Has a weird love for old magazines and reuses bandanas as bookmarks, no rhyme or reason. Loyal to the core, haunted by losses, and yet somehow the one who makes everyone remember they’re human.

Citizen Z

Citizen Z is the brilliant, lonely radio nerd stuck on a mountain of tech and terrible snacks; he talks to satellites like they’re friends and, frankly, they probably answer. He gives the crew intel like a guardian angel with sarcasm and bad puns, and sometimes he’s oddly philosophical about humanity and cheese — don’t ask, it’s a thing. Brilliant at hacking, terrible at leaving his bunker, and collects action figures that he pretends are reconnaissance tools. Also, his coffee addiction is a plot point… or maybe that’s just me projecting.
