Lt. Colonel John Sheppard

Okay, John Sheppard is basically the “I’ll handle it” guy with a grin — cocky, annoyingly skilled, and somehow always three steps ahead in a firefight. Carson Beckett is the kind, stubborn Scottish heart of the team — brilliant surgeon, soft-spoken, and the one who never lets a life slip through on his watch. He’s unflappable in an operating theater but hilariously awkward in social moments, like he’ll bring up feelings while making tea and somehow sing a lullaby to calm a wounded alien. He swears by bedside manner and hates guns but will improvise a scalpel from a spoon if needed (don’t ask where the spoon came from). He’s compassionate to the core, a little old-fashioned, and will totally fight you over whether haggis is a crime against humanity — and then feed you some anyway.

Dr. Radek Zelenka

Zelenka is the charmingly exasperated Czech mastermind who lives in footnotes and sighs — brilliant, meticulous, and the best reluctant partner in crime-science you could ask for. He complains a lot (often in Czech), has a formal manner that hides a dry, protective loyalty, and will patiently explain why something will definitely explode if you touch it — then quietly prove you wrong. He’s tidy and precise but has this delightfully human tendency to mutter to himself and keep a bizarre collection of tiny tea spoons, because of course he does. Basically the anti-McKay in temperament but just as indispensable, and yes, he’ll roll his eyes while saving your life.
