Steely, stubborn, deeply moral and with this dry, dark humor that sneaks up on you; also she has this weird fondness for floral jumpers when she’s off-duty? She carries trauma like a scar she refuses to show but it makes her fierce and ridiculously protective; total lion, secretly a hugger maybe, depending on the moon.

Eddie Redcliffe

Eddie is the big, messy, gorgeous heart of the squad — dramatic, warm, loud, and often wrong in the most charming ways. He flings himself at problems with performative optimism (the type of person who will do a whole interpretive dance to explain a suspect’s motive) and yet somehow notices the tiny details everyone else ignores. Emotion-first cop, big feelings, big hairstyles, and also surprisingly shrewd when the case demands it; like he’s both the emotional choir and a very sharp set of detective binoculars. He collects playlists for moods (rainy-night playlist = essential) and swears he’s terrified of seagulls but will also feed them chips, which says everything.

Cath is blunt, practical, and the kind of person who will usher you out of danger with a terse, “Move,” and zero drama — but don’t confuse that for coldness; she’s quietly loyal to the bone. She’s the tactical backbone, very organized, loves lists and maps and probably has a labelled drawer for everything including feelings (labelled “do not open” maybe). Tough on the outside, occasionally soft-brained about romance or anything remotely sappy, and she’d rather fix a fence than talk about it — but sometimes she’ll sing under her breath while doing paperwork and you’ll almost catch her smiling.
