Oh man, Eddie is the dramatic heart-and-headache of the group — charming, impulsive, and always two steps away from a disaster he swears he can fix. He’s fiercely protective of his family but also has this maddening tendency to make snap decisions that make everyone gasp (then forgive him, obviously). He’ll surprise you by being incredibly tender one minute and trying to solve everything with bravado the next — like he collects vintage watches but can’t keep a plant alive. He’s the kind of guy who hums bad 80s power ballads while pacing the kitchen at 2 a.m., and yes, he probably brags about being on time and then shows up late to his own surprise party.

Rome Howard

Rome is this quietly brilliant, endlessly optimistic soul — creative, funny, and with a big, warm brain that loves people (and low-key overthinks everything). He’s the friend who sketches out ideas on napkins and then actually makes them happen, but also gets unexpectedly anxious about stuff like dentist appointments. He’s loyal to a fault, wise in a very lived-in way, and has this habit of saying things that make you suddenly see your life differently; also he hoards postcards for reasons he can’t fully explain. He gives off calm confidence but will absolutely binge ice cream at midnight when a project scares him.

Maggie Bloom

Maggie is that steady, compassionate force — empathetic and fierce in a soft way, like a warm blanket with a backbone. She’s the friend everyone goes to for real talk and red wine, the one who remembers birthdays and the weird little details you never told anyone (sometimes she remembers stuff you don’t want her to). She’s practical but romantic, cooks like she’s performing an art piece, and once cried at a rom-com and then bench-pressed her feelings away, which is so Maggie. She can be stubbornly independent one day and impossibly sentimental the next, plus she definitely labels her leftovers.

Regina Howard

Regina is the take-charge kind of person who runs the room without making a show of it — solid, smart, and quietly fierce. She’s the glue in practical moments; you want her in your corner when bureaucracy or feelings get messy, though she’ll roll her eyes at sentimentality and then secretly frame a goofy candid photo. She’s got rules and routines but also tiny rebellions, like wearing ridiculous socks under professional shoes or doodling cartoons in the margins of meeting notes. She’s protective of her family and friends and sometimes gets exasperated when people don’t “just do the obvious thing,” which is both funny and slightly terrifying.

Katherine Saville

Katherine is complicated in the best soap-opera way — deeply loving and wildly organized, with a perfectionist streak that hides a surprisingly soft center. Delilah Dixon

Delilah is fierce, honest, and not here to sugarcoat anything — a real tell-it-like-it-is kind of person who also cooks a mean breakfast for the people she loves. She’s career-driven and direct but has these small, unexpectedly soft habits, like keeping a drawer of pens she’s stolen from conferences; she’ll deny theft but not the pens. She can be blunt to the point of hilarity, yet there’s real warmth underneath, and she’ll show up at 2 a.m. if you call. Also she has an amazing red lipstick routine that is somehow both intimidating and comforting.

Theo Saville

Theo is quietly fierce and kind of a mystery you slowly fall for — smart, observant, sometimes moody, and always interesting. He’s got a dry sense of humor and a tendency to brood, but he’s also the one who notices tiny injustices and retaliates with sarcasm and loyalty. He loves sneakers, hates being coddled, and will insist he doesn’t want attention while subtextually asking for it, which is equal parts infuriating and endearing. He’s creative and stubborn in that teenage-artist way, yet he’ll also surprise you by being this surprisingly tender little sibling/son figure.

Sophie Dixon

Sophie is bright, precocious, and often more emotionally sophisticated than the adults around her, which is both adorable and a little spooky. She has big feelings, a dramatic streak, and a weirdly accurate radar for when someone needs a bandaid or a terrible teen movie recommendation. She collects tiny stickers and will swear she hates princess stuff one minute and build a glitter castle the next — total mood swings but in the cutest way. She’s honest to a fault, deeply loyal to her chosen people, and has a way of saying one line that will make you second-guess your life choices (in a gentle, poetically annoying way).
