Meet the characters from And Just Like That…

Carrie

Oh my god, Carrie is the chaotic little diary of New York come to life — equal parts glittery shoes and existential panic, like she wears sequins to cope. She’s a writer who writes about writing, walks too fast, leaves pens in the pockets of coats she never remembers owning, and will absolutely order dessert first if it makes a better sentence. Romantic, self-aware-ish, and secretly stubbornly hopeful even when she swears she’s done with romance (then blushes and buys another pair of shoes), plus she hoards receipts and uses them as muses sometimes. Also she has a million exes and a million notebooks and somehow keeps losing her keys in totes that are probably full of other keys.

Miranda

Miranda is the dry, brilliant center — sharp, skeptical, and often smelling faintly of takeout coffee in a travel mug she pretends is chic. She’s a lawyer-type energy: efficient, impatient with nonsense, fiercely loyal, but also softer than she’d let on — has a weird cupboard of sentimental mugs and will defend her friends like a guard dog with a law degree. Practical to the bone, skeptical of feelings but occasionally caught practicing yoga in an office chair or crying quietly at a movie she claims she hated. Has this delightfully contradictory side where she’s secretly a plant person (maybe? sometimes) and also insists on reorganizing other people’s lives while insisting she doesn’t need help.

Charlotte

Charlotte is earnest, tidy, and quietly fierce about the things she loves — art galleries, table settings, and the belief that people can change (even when you roll your eyes). She’s the one baking tiny pies for the bake sale and also setting incredibly specific rules for her dinner parties, but then she’ll break them if a friend needs help — classic soft-heart-with-a-checklist. Polite to a fault, slightly controlling, full of vintage china and awkwardly timed inspirational quotes, and also surprisingly good at saying the blunt truth when it matters. Oh and she probably keeps a casserole in the freezer and once impulsively adopted something fuzzy at a farmer’s market and never looked back.
