Jane Kerkovich-Williams

Jane is the tidy, razor-sharp backbone of the group — organized, career-driven, and secretly snarky in a way that is somehow adorable. She’s the type who makes color-coded life plans and then buys a ridiculous impulsive handbag at 2 a.m. (yes, she has a guilty-pleasure insta-cart she swears she doesn’t use). Smart, fierce, and loyal — but also very particular about cutlery and will absolutely judge your salad choice. She’s the friend who remembers everyone’s birthdays and also loses her keys every other week; human, efficient, chaotic.

Alex Kerkovich

Alex is the freewheeling, artsy whirlwind who treats life like an ongoing improv show — messy hair, big ideas, and 87 creative projects that may or may not be finished. She’s unpredictable in the best way; one minute she’s teaching a workshop, the next she’s crashing on the couch for three days and claiming she’s “researching.” Fiercely supportive to her friends, annoyingly stubborn with her own problems, and somehow always wearing a thrifted jacket that becomes a character in itself. She loves to argue about film theory and also can’t be bothered to find matching socks (but insists they’re a statement).

Dave Rose

Dave is loud, flashy, and fashion-obsessed but with this soft, bewildered heart under all the bravado — he’s equal parts diva and cinnamon roll. He’ll make you feel seen and slightly judged, in that very specific Dave way, and he has a million stories about minor humiliations that he somehow turns into performance art. Ostentatious taste? Yes. Secretly sentimental? Also yes, don’t tell him I said that. He’s dramatic, vain, costly in the best sense, and always, always ready with a biting quip that somehow reveals he actually cares.

Max Blum

Max is the lovably awkward optimist — earnest, sweet, and kind of hapless but in a totally endearing way. He’s the friend who wants to host game night and will spend three hours making a playlist that somehow only includes songs about sandwiches (I’m only slightly joking). Max means well, sometimes wildly misunderstands social cues, and is always trying to be useful even if he ends up spilling wine on the rug. He’s got big heart energy, an odd collection of novelty mugs, and a tendency to romanticize the small things.

Brad Williams

Brad is the preppy, overly calm stable force — low-key competitive and annoyingly good at sports and barbecues, but also sweet and very loyal. He’s the “I’ll fix your sink” friend who actually knows how to fix the sink and will judge your DIY choices with quiet disdain. Slightly absent-minded about feelings (but working on it), he’s the friend you want in a crisis because he’ll show up with an ice pack and a calm plan. He’s more emotionally complex than his polos suggest and occasionally surprises everyone by being unexpectedly sentimental about nonsense like old sneakers.

Penny Hartz

Penny is chaotic, effusive, and absolutely incapable of subtlety — loud love, big gestures, tiny money-management skills, but zero shame, which is a kind of power. She’s the friend who texts you at 3 a.m. to scream about a romantic disaster and then shows up with cupcakes and a theme song; dramatic but deeply committed. Penny hoards takeout boxes like treasured relics and will cry over a rom-com trailer, but then pivot to an oddly specific rant about office chairs (it’s a thing). She’s messy, funny, devastatingly loyal, and somehow always believes the next big thing is right around the corner.
