Deep down he’s an obsessive truth-hound who hates rules and paperwork but can stare at a crime scene like it’s a lover and somehow read secrets off a coffee stain; also he owns a plant that refuses to live which he swears is cursed. Sometimes he’s tender and it’s sudden and awkward and perfect, other times he’s infuriatingly single-minded — but always interesting, always raw.

Tom Waaler

Tom is the slick, smile-first cop who proves that polish can hide a blade — charming, calm, and somehow horribly competent at pretending he’s harmless (don’t trust the tie pins, seriously).
