Meet the men from Grimm
Nick
Nick is the reluctant Grimm who somehow manages to be both a weary detective and a guy who reads fairy tales like they’re instruction manuals. He juggles police work and ancient, horrible family business with the grim determination of someone who drinks too much coffee and keeps a secret pocketknife in every coat. He’s protective, awkward in the best way, and makes terrible jokes at terrible times — also he collects old books and maybe peppermints, I can’t remember which. He’ll dive into danger for the people he loves and then act like nothing happened, which is infuriating and kind of adorable.
Hank
Hank is the gruff, beer-and-barstool partner who pretends he doesn’t notice anything weird and obviously notices everything. He’s sarcastic, square-jawed, loyal to a fault, and the kind of guy who will roll his eyes but show up when it matters most. He claims to hate poetry but secretly writes the worst haikus at midnight, and yes, he has a soft spot for dogs (and babies, don’t tell him I said that). He’s stubborn and practical and whenever you need a straight answer he’s the one who gives it — usually while grumbling.
Monroe
Monroe is basically the cinnamon roll of the Wesen world — a Blutbad who bakes, gardens, and will explain taxonomy while offering you tea and a pastry. He’s calm, endlessly patient, and disarmingly cultured, with an old-world politeness that masks a ferocious sense of honor. He collects knives for beauty and old family recipes for comfort, and sometimes he’ll talk about hunting like it’s an art form and also about houseplants like they’re his children (both true). He’s the gentle giant who uses charm as his weapon and has impeccable taste in sweaters.
Sean
Sean is the smooth, complicated captain with a crown-of-thorns charisma — polished, political, and faintly dangerous. He moves like he owns the room even when he probably shouldn’t, and he has this knack for saying exactly what will make you unsure whether to trust him. He is elegant and controlled but also haunted and impulsive sometimes, and there’s always a hint that he’s running three chess games at once (and maybe losing one intentionally). He collects cufflinks, or secrets, maybe both, and if he smiles at you hard enough you’ll forget to breathe for a second.
Drew
Drew is the forensic whiz with the nervous energy of someone who subsists on caffeine, trivia, and awkward brilliance. He notices tiny details nobody else does, hoards weird gadgets, and will enthusiastically explain evidence with the cadence of someone narrating a very dramatic podcast. He’s equal parts enthusiastic geek and quietly brave friend — impulsive in his own flustered, lovable way — and he eats weird snack combos like pickles with peanut butter, so there’s that. He’s messy but organized in a spreadsheet-only way, and he makes being the odd one out feel like a superpower.
Bud Wurstner
Bud Wurstner is the earnest, fumbling cop who wants to do the right thing and sometimes trips over his own shoelaces while doing it (literally). He’s enthusiastic, loyal, tells dad jokes unironically, and will defend his friends with more heart than experience — and somehow it usually works. He’s always got a weird hobby (model boats? tiny sculptures? I swear I once saw him with knitting needles) and an impossible optimism that’s contagious. He’s clumsy and courageous, loves donuts but promises to go to the gym tomorrow, and you can’t help but root for him.
