Which ‘Lucifer’ Character Is Your Alter-Ego?

‘Lucifer’ tells story of Devil getting bored with Hell. So, he takes a vacation on Earth and opens a nightclub in Los Angeles. Fun, right? He teams up with human detective Chloe Decker to solve crimes and wrestles with his own demons while figuring out this whole humanity thing. It’s crime, fantasy, drama, all rolled into one. Plus, witty writing and a cast that could charm a snake.
Meet the characters from Lucifer
Charlotte Richards
Charlotte is this fascinating mix of buttoned-up lawyer energy and bewildered soul-searcher — like someone who always smells faintly of old books and courtroom coffee. She goes through serious identity whiplash (and yes, I know, same) but there’s something so quietly fierce about how she tries to do the right thing even when she’s utterly confused. She’s awkwardly charming in that “did-she-just-say-that-out-loud?” way and also can be terrifyingly precise when she needs to be. Oh and she collects teacups? Or is that just one episode where she borrowed one and never returned it — either way, very teacup vibes.
Mazikeen
Maze is pure, blunt force personality in the best way — lethal, loyal, and somehow fashion-forward while wielding a chainsaw or a stiletto (pick your metaphor). She hates being called weak, will probably stare you down for three minutes, and then randomly be the softest person about pastries or friendship. She’s chaotic, loves violence as a hobby but has this weird soft spot for cornered animals and tiny betrayals become massive personal affronts. Also constantly eating? Or never eating? Depends on the scene, but either way, iconic.
Dan Espinoza
Detective Dan is grumpy dad energy and I will fight anyone who says otherwise — he’s exasperated, moral, and carries guilt like a vintage leather jacket. He’s jealous and stubborn but has a kind of stubborn decency where he always tries to do the right thing even when it costs him. He’s hilariously human next to celestial chaos — bruised, sarcastic, a little battered, and secretly proud of Trixie in a way that makes him nearly unreadable. Also: he has weird taste in ties and possibly an irrational love for cereal at 2 a.m., no receipts because he’ll deny the cereal thing.
Chloe Decker
Chloe is the unflappable detective who smells danger and paperwork in equal measure — practical, stubborn, and emotionally durable (but not unbreakable). She’s very literal, very good at noticing things other people miss, and somehow manages to be both a rock and very quietly kind; she loves peanut butter or was it almonds? Either way, she’s not here for celestial drama but also gets dragged into it and does it better than almost anyone. She’s the wholesome center of the chaos and yes, the world is better with her notebook-clutching glare.
Dr. Linda Martin
Linda is the therapist you want as a friend and also the friend you probably shouldn’t have as a therapist — boundary-challenged, hilarious, and impossibly warm. She gives great life advice, terrible professional advice (sometimes), and will definitely bake for you in times of emotional crisis. There’s genuine wisdom under her laugh-and-banter, plus a fondness for chewing gum like it’s a coping mechanism and maybe it is. She’s the emotional glue of the group, even when she’s gleefully breaking rules to make things better.
Eve
Eve is a glittering, reckless force of nature — sexy, playful, and mischievous to her core, but also softer and lonelier than she sells. She loves to break rules (and hearts) and then act surprised when everyone’s feelings get messy — like the original chaos-lady having a very good hair day. She’s magnetic, enjoys temptation as a hobby, and can be heartbreakingly tender when she lets her guard down (which is seldom but wow, when it happens). Also she probably has like seventeen different hair colors in a week and a collection of antique perfume bottles she’ll absolutely talk about at 3 a.m.
Amenadiel
Amenadiel starts as the archetypal serious angel — stern, honor-bound, sometimes humor-impaired — and then becomes this messy, evolving dad figure who learns to feel like a human (and then overthinks feelings like a champ). He’s noble in that old-school, dramatic way, but also eats cereal off the floor in one episode? I might be exaggerating. He’s all about duty and family, but his softening arc is the best because you see the huge angelic shoulders get smaller and more real. He has very specific opinions about suit collars and probably owns exactly three ties.
Ella Lopez
Ella is a tornado of sunshine and forensic genius — like if a glitter bomb had a PhD and a playlist for every mood. She’s bright, nerdy, hyperverbal, and religious in this delightfully unfiltered, sincere way; she’ll hug you and then explain DNA like it’s a bedtime story. She loses her keys every five minutes but somehow never loses a clue, and she decorates her workspace with stickers and tiny inspirational notes (and maybe a rubber duck). Honestly, she’s the kind of person who can cheerfully narrate your life and then solve the case before lunch.
Trixie Espinoza
Trixie is small but capital-W wise — precocious, adorable, and blunt in all the best ways, with the kind of one-liners that make adults rethink everything. She’s imaginative (space helmets, stuffed animals with elaborate backstories), fierce about her family, and just the tiniest bit sassily prophetic sometimes. She’ll ask the hard questions and then smile like she meant it, and you will melt. Also she definitely likes pancakes and will tell you the exact number of stars she needs to fall asleep; it’s oddly specific and possibly inconsistent depending on the episode.
Lucifer Morningstar
Lucifer is glamorous chaos wrapped in a bespoke suit — dripping charm, theatrical, and equal parts devilish mischief and aching vulnerability. He loves temptation, luxury, and bad decisions (his hobbies include dramatic entrances and mixtapes), but under the smirk there’s a dude who’s figuring out who he actually is and flinches at the idea of being loved. He’s clever, melodramatic, ridiculous in the best way, and totally capable of unexpected tenderness (with a side of witty nicknames). Also: he sings, he dances, he probably owns more sunglasses than necessary, and yes he will absolutely judge your outfit but then compliment your soul.
