Meet the Warframes from Warframe
Octavia
Octavia is basically the Warframe that fell out of a jazz club and into a battlefield — she composes chaos and everyone dances to her tune. She’s brilliant at turning sound into strength, buffing allies with a rhythm that somehow makes sense even if you don’t understand music theory (I think she hums scales in her sleep?). Quiet and a little shy off-stage but a total diva when the bass drops, she collects tiny metronomes for reasons she won’t fully explain. Also rumor has it she forgets lyrics mid-fight and then invents better ones, which is adorable and terrifying.
Saryn
Saryn is the beautiful apocalypse in a flower crown — spores, toxins, and elegance all wrapped into one very dramatic green package. She spreads corrosion like gossip and somehow makes rot look intentional; enemies melt and you clap because it’s tasteful. There’s a botanical obsession here, she studies molds and also knits? — yes, she definitely knits occasionally while watching decay videos. She’s lethal but oddly domestic, which is why her lab probably has a potted fern and a tiny “do not touch” sign.
Protea
Protea is a gadget-packed time-tinkerer who treats the battlefield like a very busy kitchen and you’re all on the menu. She rewinds trouble, throws deployables like a mom handing out snacks, and has a pocket for literally everything (bandages, grenades, a carefully folded list of plans). Practical, efficient, and a little scatterbrained when it comes to emotions — she’ll fix your cooldown but forget your birthday, I swear. Also: she drinks too much tea and names her grenades, which is both charming and mildly alarming.
Mesa
Mesa is the gunslinger archetype made flesh — cool, precise, and dramatic about it; quickdraw queen with a poker face. She deals with threats like someone snapping a rubber band: calm, efficient, and a little theatrical (cue hat tip, always a hat tip). Stoic but sassy, she has zero patience for nonsense and will absolutely unimpress you with a deadpan remark while unloading two revolvers. Oh and she’s a coffee snob who may or may not own a tiny stuffed animal she keeps in her holster for reasons no one asked about.
Wisp
Wisp is a drifting little miracle; she’s gentle, floaty, and somehow carries an entire support network in the pockets of her cloak (motes! whispers! tiny suns!). Supportive to a fault, she zips around leaving heal orbs and mood lighting like a living festival — also whispers names in that eerie-but-cute way. She collects lost socks and regrets, and will absolutely haunt you with kindness if you so much as stub your toe. At times ethereal and playful, other times oddly pragmatic (yes, she labels the motes), she’s the soft spot everyone leans on.
Gara
Gara is all glass and mirrors — stunning, reflective, and she will cut you where it counts if you stare for too long. Protective and regal, she builds barriers like a sculptor, turning shards into fortresses and making a point of polishing the entrances afterward (aesthetic matters). Fragile-looking but absurdly durable, she’s a walking contradiction: delicate glass that laughs at blunt force. Also she hums lullabies to the walls and has a weirdly specific afternoon tea ritual involving shards and a dainty saucer.
Rhino
Rhino is your favorite gorilla roommate who also happens to be the party’s walking tank — smash first, ask questions later (questions are for book clubs). Straightforward, loyal, and relentlessly earnest, he bulldozes problems and then offers you a muffin like nothing happened. He’s got a surprisingly soft side for small animals and will defend a stray squirrel with the kind of intensity normally reserved for national anthems. Also extremely bad at dancing but will try anyway, which I respect.
Nova
Nova is pure science panic and it’s glorious — antimatter, explosions, and a grin that says “this will probably destabilize reality but look!” Brilliant and a little unhinged, she tweaks physics like it’s a hobby and then apologizes in a very theoretical way. Has a taste for puzzles, paradoxes, and teacups (tiny obsession, yeah), plus a vanity that insists on labeling every experiment with glitter. She’s chaotic in a very fashionable lab-coat sort of way — equal parts mad scientist and runway model.
Ivara
Ivara is the silent arrow and moonlight — patient, precise, and a bit of a poetry nerd who also happens to be a master thief. She stalks shadows like they owe her money and plants traps that are just artfully arranged problems for the enemy to trip over. Quiet but mischievous, she keeps maps in her pockets and sometimes rearranges people’s shoe laces for fun (don’t ask). There’s this whole forest-guardian vibe but also a slipper-stealing page of her personality that shows up at odd hours.
Revenant
Revenant is all eerie showmanship and slow-burn menace — like an antique toy that wandered into a haunted opera. He drifts between charisma and chill predator mode, obsessed with stories and steals your composure with a grin (creepy but oddly thoughtful). He collects little crowns and watches sunsets like it’s a subplot, alternating between childlike wonder and “I will devour you” intensity. A theatrical, haunted relic who somehow makes dread feel… elegant? Yeah, that’s him.
