William Adama

Dr. Gaius Baltar

Baltar is the brilliant, flamboyantly self-centered neurotic who says the most charming things while simultaneously making the worst decisions, and you can’t help but watch in fascinated horror. He’s a cocktail of genius, guilt, ego, and anxiety — part coward, part showman, and all tangled up in his own ego. He’ll flirt with destiny and then run for cover when it gets real, but he’s oddly vulnerable and somehow tragic; also has a weird pen collection that may or may not be tied to his identity crisis. Sometimes you want to shake him, sometimes you want to hug him, and that’s the point.

Number Six is the walking, talking enigma — seductive, eerie, and heartbreakingly human when she wants to be, then cold as a circuit the next minute. She manipulates like an artist and yet there are moments she hums lullabies and you wonder what’s real; she’s equal parts angel and threat. She’s elegant and unsettling, and she’ll haunt your dreams and your conscience simultaneously. Also, not sure how she manages to wear those outfits and still look like she’s been meditating, but she does.

She’s soft-spoken and loyal, the friend you trust, until the machine part sneaks in and ruins everything — and then she’s confused and devastated, which just adds layers. She’s both innocent and dangerous, like a porcelain doll with a hidden wrench. Oh, and she likes small domestic things sometimes, like keeping a tidy locker, which is so not what you’d expect.

Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace

Starbuck is the perfect glorious trainwreck: fearless, insulting, brilliant in a cockpit, and emotionally combustible at all times. She’ll rip a flight path through your heart and somehow make you cheer; she’s unbelievably talented and wildly self-destructive, a walking contradiction of swagger and secret pain. She swears a lot, drinks too much, flirts like a tornado, and will save you while making a rude joke about it — she’s impossible not to love. By the way, she probably hates being called “fragile” but has a whole box of sentimental junk in the back of a closet.

Saul Tigh

Tigh is the grumpy, scuffed-up second-in-command who somehow contains more loyalty and pain than seems physically possible, and yes, he’s mostly a walking scowl. He drinks, snarls, and insults, but there’s this molten core of devotion and fury underneath — he’d stab the world for his crew. He’s bitter and funny and tragic all at once, with sudden, weirdly tender moments that sneak up on you. Also, he hoards things like old coins or grudges; it’s hard to tell which.

Galen Tyrol

Tyrol is the quiet, capable mechanic with grease under his nails and a gentle, stubborn heart that refuses to quit on people. He’s earthy, practical, and astonishingly steady, like a slow-burning lighthouse in chaos, and he cares about hands-on work, kids, and the small details everyone else ignores. He’s more sensitive than he looks — will talk about engines for hours and then surprise you by crying at a stupid plant. Tiny inconsistency: claims to hate the spotlight but secretly loves being useful, which is basically his whole vibe.

Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon
