Mark Grayson

Mark is that earnest, slightly awkward hero who tries so hard to do the right thing and then immediately trips over his cape (literally, maybe once). He’s bursting with idealism and stubbornness — wants to save everyone and also can’t resist a witty one-liner at the worst moment. Young, learning, impulsive, always making the kind of mistakes that feel like character growth (and also like “oh no, Mark—stop”). Also hoards comic books and has an amazing resting-hero face that he uses about twice a season.

Nolan Grayson

Nolan (Omni-Man) is equal parts terrifying and heartbreakingly complex — the ultimate paternal presence until he isn’t, and then everything gets messy in the best/worst way. He’s physically imposing, chillingly efficient, and also bizarrely capable of being a genuinely doting dad who burns pancakes and hums old war songs, which makes the betrayal even more jaw-dropping. He carries that whole Old World, Viltrumite conviction thing but sometimes shows tiny, almost guilty tenderness, which is why people keep talking about him. Cold strategist, fierce warrior, and dad who probably has an old sweater he refuses to throw away.

Debbie Grayson

Debbie is the emotional backbone — the mom who holds the family together even after the world literally collapses around her, and she does it with a kind of weary, stubborn love. She’s calm in a crisis until she isn’t (and when she erupts it’s honestly terrifying and totally justified), which feels very real. Vulnerable but resilient, she keeps a soft spot for her son’s chaos and also has surprising strength — like, don’t cross her, she will stare you down. Also, she bakes strangely perfect muffins but apparently cannot parallel park, which is charming.

Amber Bennett

Amber is like the classic ex-girlfriend archetype but turned into a fully realized, annoyed, delightful human who actually grows beyond being “just the love interest.” She’s pragmatic, sharp-tongued, knows her worth but also gets jealous and insecure in such painfully relatable ways (ugh, crush drama). Surprisingly brave when it counts, with a blunt sense of humor and a soft interior that pops up when you least expect it. Sometimes shopping-obsessed, sometimes fierce — basically a walking contradiction and I love her for it.

Monster Girl

Monster Girl is heartbreaking and kind of wild — imagine super-strength and monstrous transformations trapped in the body of a kid, like cursed-little-monster-energy with massive power and a huge, messed-up backstory. She’s tender and lonely and also really funny in a dry, awkward way (and yes, she likes stuffed animals and also wants to punch a building sometimes). Tragic hero vibes but also occasional comic relief, which makes her unpredictable and very real. Also, she hoards cookies and collects band t-shirts despite being the size of a five-year-old, which is both adorable and unsettling.

Mauler Twins

The Mauler Twins are chaos in matching armor — brutal, greedy, and delightfully petty, the kind of villains who are always scheming for one more score. They’re crude, loud, and gloriously over-the-top, like two angry, identical bad-ideas with a fondness for smashing things and throwing money around. There’s a weird intimacy to their partnership (codependently murderous? maybe), and they somehow manage to be both hilariously incompetent and legitimately dangerous. Also they love heavy metal and probably have one matching dental plan, which is a small, useless fact but whatever.

Cecil Stedman

Cecil is the sharp, cigarette-scented (ok maybe not actually smoking but you get the vibe) spymaster who runs the agency with a smile that doesn’t reach his eyes — equal parts manipulator and pragmatist. He’s obsessed with the bigger picture, which means he’s willing to make awful choices for the “greater good,” and that makes him fascinating and morally messy. Calm, hyper-competent, and secretly exhausted, he collects secrets like trophies and has a habit of saying things that make you weigh your life choices. Also weirdly sentimental about old files and probably keeps a mug that says “World’s Okayest Boss” in a drawer.

Atom Eve

Eve is the reality-warping powerhouse wrapped in a soft, stylish exterior — brilliant, compassionate, and honestly one of the most layered people in the whole story. She wants to build and create and heal, but she’s also had to fight to be seen as more than just her looks, which makes her fierce and quietly funny. She alternates between being an optimist-revolutionary and a tired, sarcastic friend who will absolutely shut down nonsense. Also collects succulents, wears pink when mad, and probably has a hoodie with a hidden pocket for snacks.

Robot

Robot is the coldly logical mastermind who starts with noble intentions and then spirals into “ends justify the means” territory — brilliant, ruthless, and weirdly lonely under all the circuitry. He’s a planner, an absolutist, and also oddly insecure about other people not getting his genius (which, fair). He can switch from calculating politeness to “you are a failed variable” in a sentence, and his attempts at social cues are both creepy and kind of sad. Fun fact (maybe): he loves old vinyl and thinks robots should have better taste in jazz, which is exactly the kind of contradiction I live for.

William Clockwell

William is the best friend you actually want — loyal, snarky, and disarmingly perceptive, with this cozy, dry humor that sneaks up on you. He’s supportive to his core, with honest-to-goodness moral backbone and the tendency to speak truth when everyone else dithers. Nerdy in the best way (comic trivia, weird trivia, comfort-food-level trivia), and also quietly brave in moments when it matters. Also he collects novelty mugs and will judge your playlist with a smile, which is why he’s perfect.
