Welcome to Quiz: Which 'Mr. Robot' Character Are You

Mr. Robot, that wild ride from 2015 to 2019, follows Elliot, a cybersecurity whiz. He gets pulled into a shady anarchist’s plan to take down a giant corporation. As Elliot dives deeper, he learns some not-so-fun truths about his mysterious mentor. With its flashy visuals and twists that make your head spin, Mr. Robot became a hit, snagging awards and a loyal following. Who knew hacking could be so dramatic?

Meet the characters from Mr. Robot

Elliot Alderson

Elliot is that brilliant, haunted hacker who talks to himself like it’s normal (well, it kind of is for him), and you can tell he cares way more than he lets on. Socially awkward to the point of being baffling, but also fiercely moral in his own weird, code-driven way — he wants to fix the world and then immediately backs away from people. He’s equal parts fragile and stubborn, hates small talk but will rant perfectly about encryption for an hour. Also — he drinks tea, hates being touched, and will adopt a dog in one timeline and reject comfort in another, which is somehow totally him.

Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot is the loud, jagged, charismatic ghost of revolution who shows up wearing a jacket and Old Rage energy, yelling at the system and at Elliot in almost the same breath. He’s ruthless and tender in turns — like a drill sergeant who reads poetry sometimes — and he absolutely believes chaos is the medicine. He feels like a father figure and a saboteur at once, making moves that are both strategic and emotionally explosive. Also he smokes, lectures about legacy, and kind of loves dramatic monologues (guilty but proud).

Darlene

Darlene is the scrappy, cigarette-smoking brainiac who’s always two steps ahead and emotionally three steps behind (in the best way). She’s fierce, funny, and the kind of sister who will blackmail you and then bring you soup when you’re sick — unreliable, yes, but loyal as hell. She codes like a poet and plans hacks like a chaotic general; also she swears a lot and sometimes sings to stay calm. Little messy, little brilliant, and somehow both reckless and utterly protective.

Tyrell Wellick

Tyrell is pure ambition in a tailored suit — slick, unsettling, and obsessed with moving upward, no matter the cost. He’s part manic romantic (weird love scenes? yes) and part icy executive, which makes him deliciously unpredictable; one minute he’s polite and composed, the next he’s scheming with the intensity of someone who sleeps with his tie on. Loves power, image, and a good title, but secretly craves approval like a wounded kid. Also possibly Swedish, possibly dramatic, and definitely lives for the theater of his own life.

Angela Moss

Angela starts off all idealism and law firm lunches and then slowly becomes this complicated, sometimes compromised, always driven woman who wants to change things but gets tangled in the machine. She’s quietly tough — the kind who smiles with clenched teeth and then surprises you by taking a risk that ruins her mascara. Deep down she’s trying to reconcile grief and justice, which makes her decisions messy and kind of heartbreaking. Likes routine, collects tiny justifications, and has a surprising soft spot for old photographs.

Phillip Price

Phillip Price is the impeccably poised corporate chessmaster who talks like an op-ed and moves like a predator — calm, cultured, and lethal in boardroom silence. He treats world-altering decisions like casual appointments and has an almost grandfatherly way of being utterly ruthless, which is terrifying. Loves art, opera, and deals over breakfast (seriously), and there’s this old-money patience about him that makes his ruthlessness feel like a practiced hobby. Also he’s smug in the best possible way and probably owns a ridiculous number of cufflinks.

Dominique DiPierro

Dom is the relentless, slightly anxious FBI agent who notices tiny things everyone else misses and then refuses to quit until she does. She’s smart, dogged, and somehow both exhausted and electric — like someone running on espresso and stubbornness. There’s a nervous bravado to her (she’ll ask the tough question, then apologize mid-sentence), and she keeps meticulous notes in different colored pens because organization soothes the chaos. Fierce, funny in a dry way, and surprisingly empathetic beneath the trench coat.
