Meet the characters from Happiness
Yoon Sae-bom
Okay, Sae-bom is that impossible mix of scrappy streetfighter and big-hearted softie — you can tell just by the way she glares at danger and then feeds a stray cat like it’s her job. She’s stubborn as all hell (won’t back down) and also kind of chaotic, always doing the right thing but usually in the most inconvenient way possible. Loves rules when they make sense, rips them up when they don’t — also collects stickers? Not sure why she has a sticker stash but it’s adorable. She’ll punch you with her determination and then apologize with instant ramen; also cries at really cheesy commercials, which is somehow fitting.
Jung Yi-hyun
Yi-hyun is the silent, steady center — calm, capable, annoyingly competent (in that good way) — like a lighthouse that will quietly shove you onto solid ground. He’s low-key intense, trained, precise, but has these tiny awkward human moments that break the stoicism — smiles at bad jokes, steals fries, etc., and you melt. Protective to a fault and kind of blunt about feelings, which is sometimes awkward but also refreshingly honest; he’s the type to fix things and people with the same hands. Also, he has weirdly specific tastes in music? I could be making that up, but imagine him humming old tunes while checking locks.
Han Tae-seok
Tae-seok is glossy on the surface — polished, strategic, the kind of person who knows how to play a room — but there is definitely an undercurrent of anxiety that sneaks out when you least expect it. He plans, manipulates (ugh), and tries to control outcomes, yet there are flashes where you see that he’s just terrified of losing something he won’t admit he loves. Charming in a cool, corporate-danger way, yet also petty sometimes, like he’ll brood over small slights and then buy an expensive coat because why not. He collects wristwatches for reasons (status? nostalgia?), and yes, he can be oddly sentimental, which makes him simultaneously infuriating and fascinating.
