Welcome to Quiz: Which 'Sanctuary' Character Are You

Sanctuary is a wild sci-fi ride. It features Dr. Helen Magnus, a genius scientist with a secret mission. She leads a team that protects ‘abnormals’ – those with crazy powers or mutations. With her crew, including Will Zimmerman, a forensic shrink and Henry Foss, a tech whiz, Magnus travels everywhere. They capture dangerous abnormals and dig into their mysterious pasts. It’s all thrilling and a bit chaotic.

Meet the characters from Sanctuary

Dr. Helen Magnus

Okay, Helen is basically the coolest chaos grandma ever — immortal Victorian scientist, head of the Sanctuary, and somehow both terrifyingly competent and oddly sentimental about teacups. She runs the place with an iron will wrapped in velvet, knows about every abnormal creature ever (and also about several polite but totally illegal surgeries, don’t ask), and will stare you down until you admit the truth. She dresses like it’s 1898 but uses Wi‑Fi like a teenager, which is a horrible but endearing contradiction I can’t get over. Also, she hoards weird artifacts, tells really long stories, and will absolutely adopt stray monsters if you blink, which is kind of adorable and alarming at the same time.

Dr. Will Zimmerman

Will is the earnest, awkward genius — forensic psychiatrist turned Sanctuary field agent — who tries to be the moral compass but ends up on the front lines more than he’d plan (bless him). He overthinks everything, which makes him brilliant at reading people and also hilariously bad at small talk; there are entire episodes’ worth of stammered jokes and then he saves the day. He has this quiet bravery where he’ll walk into danger because someone else can’t, and then apologize afterward like he did something rude. Also he collects slightly suspicious little mementos (pens? rocks?) and alternates between deadpan sarcasm and crushing empathy, sometimes in the same sentence.

Bigfoot

Bigfoot in Sanctuary is not your cartoon monster — he’s this massive, shaggy, surprisingly poetic guardian who looks terrifying but is mostly a soft, lumbering cinnamon roll (yes, really). He grunts a lot, but when he speaks it’s with weirdly deep insight and sometimes odd metaphors about trees, which you learn to respect; also he may or may not bake cookies in his spare time — I swear that’s canon-ish. People assume he’s all muscle and grunts but he’s got a surprisingly tender brain, protects kids, and will absolutely bench-press a car if it means saving a friend. He’s misunderstood, loyal, and occasionally sneezes like an earthquake, which is both funny and devastatingly effective in battle.

Henry Foss

Henry is the snarky heart of the crew — gadget wizard, pilot, comic relief, emotional support cat (in human form) — and he wears scarves with the fierce dedication of someone who owns eighteen scarves and eight feelings. He’s flashy and a little dramatic, throws out one-liners while disassembling a bomb, and somehow manages to be both fashion-forward and the most useful person in a tech emergency. He pretends not to care about people (ha), but will go full-on reckless to protect his friends, which is part of why everyone loves him and also worries about him. Also, he’s into weird music, does terrible puns on purpose, and occasionally reveals heartbreakingly soft side chapters where you didn’t expect them.
