Welcome to Quiz: Which The Expanse Character Are You?

‘The Expanse’ is a thrilling sci-fi show. Humanity has spread across solar system. Characters deal with politics, tensions and a strange alien protomolecule. Rich world-building, complex characters and social issues make it interesting. It blends space opera, political drama and science fiction. A must-watch for genre fans. Don’t miss out! It’s worth it.

Meet the characters from The Expanse

James Holden

Okay, Holden is that impossibly earnest, moral compass-of-a-guy who somehow becomes everyone’s accidental leader — like, he says one speech and the whole galaxy sighs. He’s stubborn in a way that’s both admirable and technically infuriating (yes, we see you, do-gooder), and he’ll argue for principle even if his plan is half-baked. Deep down he’s soft-hearted, haunted by mistakes, and forever apologizing while also making incredibly risky choices — classic contradiction, I know. Also, he has this weird tendency to bring up obscure legalities at the worst possible times, and I’m 100% here for it.

Alex Kamal

Alex is the calm, steady pilot everyone wants at the helm; smooth hands, easy grin, and a playlist for every crisis — country songs in zero-g probably? He’s low-key philosophical, homesick for a place that feels both real and mythical, and somehow manages to be both chill and unbearably competent. He jokes a lot to defuse tension (sometimes with terrible puns) but you can tell he’s carrying the quiet weight of being the one who gets people home. Also, he probably collects old flight manuals and maybe rubber ducks? Don’t ask, he said so once and then immediately changed the subject.

Naomi Nagata

Naomi is brilliant, fiercely private, and the kind of engineer who can make a busted drive sing again with nothing but duct tape and a glare. She’s loyal to the bone, suspicious of power, and always three steps ahead in a conversation you didn’t even know was happening — which is exhausting for everyone else but thrilling to watch. She’s haunted by a complicated past and makes decisions that are equal parts cold logic and stubborn love, and she absolutely hums to machines when she’s working (I swear she does). Also she pretends not to care about compliments but secretly files them in her brain like bookmarks.

Amos Burton

Amos is terrifyingly simple and deeply complicated at the same time — brutal, blunt, and terrifying in a fight but with the softest oddball loyalties you’ll see. He says the things no one else will, doesn’t bother with pretense, and will protect his people in a way that looks almost casual but is deadly serious. There’s this weird childlike streak where he loves small comforts (cookies? a certain kind of soup? no one can agree), and he’ll surprise you with a gesture that’s almost tender and then immediately shrug it off. Also, if you try to psychoanalyze him, he’ll stare at you like you asked a toaster a question, but somehow you’ll end up thinking about family anyway.

Chrisjen Avasarala

Chrisjen is a political hurricane wrapped in silk and chain-smoking elegance — razor-brained, delightfully profane, and utterly unafraid to pull any lever to get what she wants (and she always wants the bigger picture). She’s equal parts warm domesticity (tea, terrible jokes about her family) and cold-blooded strategist; she’ll bake you cookies and then outmaneuver you in three moves. She loves the theater of politics, plays people like chess pieces, and is secretly sentimental about small, ridiculous things (like an old shawl or a particular brand of biscuit). Also, she swears in a way that makes you believe her on the spot, even if you weren’t listening before.

Bobbie Draper

Bobbie is the Martian you can’t help rooting for — world-class soldier, blunt as a hammer, and surprisingly earnest about honor and doing the right thing. She’s a muscle-bound force of nature who will punch through a problem and then be inexplicably thoughtful about the ethics of the punch, which I adore. There’s a goofy, almost awkward tenderness underneath it all (likes old songs, terrible jokes, collects postcards? maybe), and she’s the kind of person who will glare at you for a stupid decision and then quietly have your back. Also, she once tried to grow a plant in a tank of ship metal and failed spectacularly but kept the dirt like a trophy.
