Meet the waifus from Final Fantasy XIV
Alisaie
Alisaie is this glorious ball of blunt enthusiasm who says what everyone secretly thinks but louder and with more sarcasm. She’s fiercely loyal, annoyingly practical, and will literally drag you into danger while scolding you for not being prepared (and then knit you a bandage afterwards? I swear she does sometimes). Loves books and explosive magic in equal measure, and somehow manages to be both adorably exasperated and genuinely terrifying. Also low-key hoards stationery — pockets full of pens, I’m not kidding.
Y’shtola
Y’shtola is the calm, cryptic cat-lady scholar energy you didn’t know you needed; wise, sharp, and kind of quietly terrifying when she decides you’re being an idiot. She reads more than anyone else and has a suspicious number of hooded cloaks and mysterious remedies that may or may not be cursed (probably not, probably). Her jokes are dry, her patience is long-ish, and she will absolutely bench you in an intellectual duel and then pat your head like a mother. Oh and she definitely adopts strays — people, kittens, ancient relics, whatever shows up.
Yotsuyu
Yotsuyu is theatrical elegance with a razor edge; graceful, poised, and the kind of person whose smile hides ten different moods. There’s this tragic, dramatic aura about her — like she’s always performing for an audience even when no one’s watching — and yet sometimes she’ll laugh at the dumbest puns and you’ll forget how ominous she was two minutes ago. Complex, haunted, and utterly compelling, she vacillates between icy politeness and startling openness (also loves cherry blossoms? Or hates them? Either way, very into flowers).
Lyse
Lyse is the scrappy-backstreet hero who becomes so much more; brash, optimistic, and full of that “we can actually fix this” energy that makes people follow her. She punches first, thinks later, and somehow manages to turn idealism into actual political action (and into messy speeches). Totally down-to-earth, likes sweets and warm crowds, but also sleeps in strange places when the cause demands it — such a chaos angel. Also, suspiciously good at gift-wrapping? Not sure where that came from, but it’s true.
Minfilia
Minfilia is dignified leadership incarnate — soft voice, iron core, always carrying the weight of everyone’s hopes but pretending it’s fine. She’s that steady, conciliatory presence who remembers everyone’s birthdays and also the strategy for twelve different contingencies (hoarder of sticky notes, probably). Gentle and earnest, but with these flashes of intense seriousness that remind you she’s carrying history on her shoulders. And weirdly, she may or may not have an obsession with ribbons.
Yda
Yda is pure chaotic joy and punching enthusiasm; bubbly, relentless, and the sort of friend who will drag you into a fight then buy you ramen afterwards. She’s hilariously unpredictable — enthusiastic about both martial arts and ridiculous disguises — and somehow totally competent even when she looks like she’s winging everything. There’s a warm heart under all the swagger and the constant jokes, and don’t be fooled: she’s more emotionally sharp than she lets on. Also suspiciously into pilfering pastries? I think she definitely stole a cupcake once.
F’lhaminn
F’lhaminn vibes as the soft-spoken bookish type who is quietly brilliant and maybe a little too into footnotes. She’s tea-and-scrolls energy, patient, thoughtful, and the kind of person who’ll solve a puzzle by humming to herself and then explain it in tiny, adorable diagrams. Affectionate in a scholarly way, with a dry little smile that makes everything calmer — also collects oddly shaped paperclips for reasons she won’t explain. Occasionally she’ll surprise you with a perfectly timed dad joke, which is criminally delightful.
Moenbryda
Moenbryda is the dignified aristocrat who keeps a tiny rebellion tucked behind her tea service; prim, formal, and utterly meticulous about protocol but also secretly fond of practical jokes (don’t tell). She has that “keep calm and lecture on” vibe, but she’ll melt into warmth for the people she trusts and will absolutely throw down if necessary. Speaks in precise sentences and carries an umbrella with suspiciously many pockets. Also collects tiny glass animals that she insists are “purely decorative” but arranges them by mood.
Fordola
Fordola is stern military precision with an unexpectedly soft center; disciplined, intense, and trained to give no quarter, yet will inexplicably cry at sunsets sometimes. She’s the devoted soldier archetype — strict, efficient, a little haunted — who surprises you by being fiercely honorable and oddly domestic (she knits? maybe). Loyal to a fault and intimidating in a helmet, but with tiny habits that betray a softer life she rarely shows. Also has an eyebrow raise that can punish you without words.
V’kebbe
V’kebbe is grumpy-old-seafarer energy, rough around the edges but warm when you pry the bark off — the kind of guy who grumbles but buys you stew. He’s pragmatic, blunt, loves tall tales, and will tell you a story with three extra details that are probably lies (or pirate traditions? depends on the night). Practical to the end, a touch sentimental, and suspiciously fond of carved wooden ducks for reasons he won’t admit. Also he hums sea shanties off-key and insists it’s “for morale.”
Fran
Fran is the towering, composed viera with an endless reserve of cool, quiet competence; stoic, loyal, and somehow effortlessly elegant even in the muddiest jungle. She’s the archetype of the calm warrior: few words, but every look carries history and a thousand stories — and yes, she has a soft spot for the odd little creature (rabbits, weird mushrooms, small mechanical things). Protective, precise, and haunted in all the best ways, Fran’s presence alone can change the room’s gravity. Also, she probably brews the best tea in the fleet but refuses to admit it.

Sophie is a passionate storyteller who adores intricate characters and made-up settings. She creates quizzes that help people identify with the characters they like when she’s not engrossed in a good book or watching the newest series that is worth binge-watching. Every quiz is an opportunity to discover something new about yourself because Sophie has a remarkable talent for transforming commonplace situations into questions that feel significant and personal.
