Meet the characters from Money Heist
Tokio
Tokio is a live wire — impulsive, fierce, and the sort of person who jumps first and thinks later (and then somehow makes it work). She’s got this rough-around-the-edges charm, always flirting with danger and with people, and somehow still fiercely loyal to the crew. She talks fast, smokes like a chimney in some memories and then swears she never really liked cigarettes (contradictions, obviously), and there’s this heartbreaking vulnerability under her adrenaline-junkie exterior. Honestly, she feels like someone who’d steal your watch and then return it with a note and a bad doodle.
El Profesor
El Profesor is all quiet gears and whiteboard scribbles — the mastermind with this calm, slightly bookish charisma that makes you trust a plan you probably shouldn’t. He loves chess, meticulous routines, and has these odd little rituals (vintage watches, very specific playlists) that make him oddly endearing instead of just cold. He’ll speak like a professor but then surprise you with a sentimental anecdote about childhood or trains, which is weirdly humanizing and maybe manipulative? In short, he’s the brain, the patient, obsessive planner who’s secretly terrified of improvisation but somehow masters the art of it.
Raquel Murillo
Raquel (Lisbon, for the drama lovers) is that steel-in-a-silk-shirt type — compassionate, morally serious but capable of choosing the messier path when it matters. She used to live by rules but learned to dance in the gray area, and you can see both the detective and the person who falls hard and refuses to apologize. She’s polished but has unexpected little rebellions (singing in the shower, hoarding pens from crime scenes — ok maybe not that particular theft, but you get it). Tough and tender at once, she anchors things even when everything’s on fire.
Berlin
Berlin is theatrical, selfish, fabulously cultured, and completely infuriating — the kind of guy you love to hate and also sort of admire because he always makes everything more dramatic. He adores opera, pocket watches, flare for the dramatic pause, and yet there are glimpses of loyalty underneath the ego (very messy loyalty, but loyalty). He can be cruel on a whim and then recite a poem like it’s breakfast, which is both unsettling and oddly magnetic. Basically, he’s poison wrapped in velvet and you keep coming back for more.
Rio
Rio is the young hacker with a heart that beats louder than his brain sometimes — sweet, awkward, brilliant with tech and disastrously honest about his feelings. He’s the one who brings a childlike wonder to grim situations, yet you can see him trying to grow up mid-chaos (it’s both adorable and painful). Likes retro video games and rom-coms, which somehow fits into his hoodie-and-headphones vibe, and he’s surprisingly sentimental about tiny things. He’s learning boundaries and failing gloriously but also improving, so there’s hope.
Denver
Denver is thunderous laughter, unpredictable punches, and a huge, ridiculous heart that refuses to stay quiet. He’s loud and impulsive, absolutely loyal to his people, and has a laugh that gives him away in a crowd (you’ll spot him before you see him). Beneath the bravado he’s soft — cooks (badly), keeps an old comic collection, and gets oddly philosophical at 3 a.m. about life and love, which makes him both terrifying and oddly comforting.
Monica Gaztambide
Monica (Stockholm, ugh I love the evolution) starts off sweet and frightened and then becomes this fierce, softhearted survivor who clings to love like it’s oxygen. She’s tender, maternal in a way that sneaks up on you, and has a stubborn streak that surfaces at the worst times (like when she’s filing petty grievances against people she actually cares about). She collects small things that remind her she’s alive — receipts, stickers, tiny trinkets — and also throws down in defense of her people, which is wild. There’s this lovely mix of vulnerability and low-key vengeance that keeps her unpredictable.
Arturo Roman
Arturo is the human red flag; loud, selfish, cowardly, and somehow endlessly annoying in the best/worst way possible. He’ll grandstand, lie, and try to position himself as a hero while simultaneously wetting his pants at the first real danger (not a compliment). He’s oddly theatrical — thinks every minor inconvenience is a tragedy and apparently keeps a secret stash of motivational speeches somewhere (don’t ask). Basically, he’s comic relief if comic relief were also morally suspect and emotionally exhausting.
Helsinki
Helsinki is the gentle giant you immediately trust with your life — stoic, fiercely loyal, and quieter than he should be given his imposing presence. He’s got this soft spot for small comforts (food, music, maybe a stray animal) and will mow down anything that threatens his people without a second thought. He rarely talks, but when he does it’s usually short and unexpectedly wise, and he has silly hobbies that make him absurdly human (like an inexplicable love for postcards or collecting bad puns — maybe both). Solid, dependable, terrifying in a brawl, and strangely tender when nobody’s looking.
Nairobi
Nairobi is the backbone-on-the-ground: charismatic, bossy in the best way, and the kind of leader who fixes practical problems with stubborn optimism. She’s maternal but not mushy, keeps morale high, and can roast you in five words while simultaneously planning the entire operation’s logistics — terrifyingly efficient. Loves a good pair of sneakers with a touch of sparkle (don’t judge), hums to mark time, and has this infectious laugh that makes people follow her. She’s fierce, flawed, loyal, and unbelievably real, the kind of person who will both scold you and save your life.
